Japan Will Help Cambodia to Become a Highly Industrialized Country

PHNOM PENH: Japan will turn Cambodia into a high-level industrialized country. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Japan, Kishida Fumio, in a press conference with the Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Sen, on the night of 20 March 2022.

Speaking at the conference, Kishida said, "Japan will help Cambodia to become a high-level industrialized country by cooperating with the Royal University of Phnom Penh."

Kishida's remarks came after Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen encouraged Japanese companies to set up factories in Cambodia because the current investment situation in Cambodia is much better.

Japanese industry began to flourish in 1871 under the Meiji government, and Japan has begun to evolve into what is now the modern and sophisticated industrialized nation.
